Color pensils
Prismacolor, black, dark brown, violet, sepia and the range of brownish red that you prefer
each drawing is made in one color ( monochromatic), the range of colors is just for inspiration and variety. See examples on the fields and villages drawing pages.

Paper
we can find in the village of Sault a paper of similar quality to the one we are using for sketching in the US

made by Wausau, sold at Office Depot in a package of 250 sheets for $9.00
So the french paper is the same, except for the dimensions. It is longer and more narrow.
It means that you need to stay aware of the length of the american standard page when you draw, so that you can eventually trim the excess length to fit into your protective sheet.

you need a few large rubber bands to fasten the paper down, works better than clips in the wind.
from Office Depot, long colored rubber bands. Can be found when they jump in the landscape.
Stool
prefer the light , 3 leg aluminum. Not very comfortable for hours, but there is always a solution for individual cases.
Fishing stores, hiking equipment like REI have good solutions for us. No need to buy a leather and wood stool, too heavy.
