I am currently studying with Jim Smyth and Brigitte Curt of the California Academy of Painters. I paint in oil, working in landscape, life painting and still life. I previously studied life drawing and illustration at the Academy of Art in San Francisco.  Working in three disciplines simultaneously is both challenging and exhilarating.  I believe it has been part of what has enabled me to make significant progress in a short period of time.  The process of painting is life-affirming.  To paint I must be present in the moment in order to see what is before me.  This carries over to the rest of my life.  When I paint landscapes, I feel I am joining the voices of others who speak out against the destruction of our natural world.  As a mother of three I have always loved children’s books and illustrations.  I am currently writing a story for children that I hope to illustrate and have published. I am also working toward an initial exhibition of my paintings. I look forward to selling my paintings as a means of sending my vision out into the world.
