The Village of Brantes
Brantes
is an old village perched at the Northern end of the department of
Vaucluse, at the border with Drôme. The village is held facing
the Ventoux Mount on the top of the valley of Toulourenc.
In
the village, networks of
lanes, passages arched
and old stone-built houses crown a castle offering a
sublime panorama on Ventoux. You will be able to discover workshops of craft
industry, such as of potteries and santons, including the small
workshop of Martine Gilles who exerts her talents of faience
manufacturer. You will be able to also discover the work of Veronique
Dormier who is a santonnière or Line, who is a dressmaker. It
also includes a church built in 1684.
